Since I started my first job in the marketing industry 24 years ago, I made it my mission to explore everything this career has to offer. And while I’m not there yet, I have been fortunate to have created world-class, award-winning and breakthrough brand experiences all throughout the target journey.

I am currently a VP of CMO Services + Creative Lead for Westlake Securities. This opportunity provided me with a tremendous amount of growth. As an investment bank located in Austin, Texas, Westlake provides its middle-market customers with a unique service found no where else — fractional CMO services. Our small marketing team is responsible for helping these companies maximize their value by enhancing their market presence and putting their best foot forward for potential investors. Within this role, I am required to handle every aspect of marketing for these companies. This includes strategic planning, budgeting, creative development and execution, and more.

What has been transformative for me has been being able to fully embrace an entrepreneurial philosophy whether I’m in the role of creative lead, copywriter, designer, video editor, account lead, strategic planner, website developer, or media strategist and buyer. It truly has been a high-level yet completely hands on role that has helped me to continue to hone my skills and experience as a marketer.

Prior to Westlake Securities, I was a VP Executive Creative Director at TPN Chicago that headed up advertising, branding, digital, events, metaverse, Web 3.0 and social for a variety of client accounts. Before that, I spent more than a decade as a creative lead in shopper and promotional marketing. And even before that, I spent the first part of my career developing direct response marketing campaigns across multiple mediums.

This experience has given me a unique, full-spectrum perspective on the creative process and brand building. One that is founded on the principle that every touchpoint needs to work harmoniously with each other so that every brand can reach its fullest potential and truly move people — both emotionally and physically.

And time and time again, I’ve been able to take what I’ve learned to open new opportunities for those I work with. From establishing the new core capabilities of brand, social and digital at TPN, to opening and staffing a new satellite office at Wunderman Team Detroit, I have shown to never back down from any challenge, no matter how daunting it may seem.

But through my career, I have seen that this can’t happen in a vacuum — or alone. So, in addition to growing as a creator, I put forth every ounce of effort to being the type of creative lead, mentor and manager that facilitates this level of work by building environments that my teammates can grow and excel in. I greatly value transparency, empathy, accessibility and diverse perspectives. I believe it’s not enough to bring what you know. You also have to help elevate the expertise and experiences of others to truly ensure the message — no matter its form — is being delivered authentically and with impact.

I love what I do. And I love that my journey is still be written as I continue to create intrusive, compelling and effective work that brings out the very best in every brand I have the opportunity to work with.
