  • I extended my experience by joining Westlake Securities, an investment bank located in Austin, Texas. There, as part of a small marketing team, we acted as fractional CMOs for middle-market companies across various industries.

  • The goal was to help these companies strengthen their market presence and put their best foot forward to potential investors for the purposes of maximizing the valuation of their company for potential M&A closings.

  • Responsibilities include all marketing activity including, but not limited to, planning, budgeting, creative development and execution.

  • Industries of companies include healthcare, enterprise IT, hospitality and entertainment, CPG, industrial manufacturing and equipment, home security, and outdoor apparel.

  • I was brought in to establish the creative team and process for the newly won Turbo Tax account. This included client and agency on boarding and getting the account up and running as the agency was in the midst of multiple business pitches.

  • I was in a unique position of being one part creative lead, one part marketing lead, and one part business lead for the Grupo Bimbo agency client. Brands included Takis and Bimbo Bakeries USA.

  • In addition to overseeing, growing and mentoring the creative teams on these accounts, I also helped establish the branding, digital and social disciplines for TPN. As a retail / shopper / promotion agency for nearly 40 years, these core practice areas were new to TPN. I was made the creative lead in charge of bringing them to life in a sustainable, efficient and effective way. Other areas I oversaw included promotional marketing, shopper marketing, events, Web 3.0, metaverse activations and advertising.

  • With my account partner, we created the agency vision, approach, job descriptions, staffing mix, rate structure and processes for these new branding disciplines. We also partnered as the strategic and business leads overseeing account contribution, profitability, brand stewardship and strategy.

  • Creative lead and conceptor for Clorox and Bimbo Bakeries USA agency clients. Brands included Clorox Brands, KC Masterpiece, Burt’s Bees, Kingsford, Hidden Valley Ranch, Glad, Fresh Step, Brita, Sara Lee, Artesano, Ball Park, Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat, Eureka, and Rustik.

  • Upon winning the BBU account, I established the social content discipline for the agency which included not only delivering world-class, award-winning and breakthrough work, but also identifying positions, determining staffing mix, building the social studio and developing the social content creation process.

  • Creative lead and main conceptor for Gatorade agency client. Additional client work for Taco Bell, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Clorox, Kingsford and Brita.

  • Upon joining TPN from Wunderman, I was instrumental in developing the digital discipline at TPN. This included working with the co-Chief Creative Officers to identify digital positions, job descriptions and creative process.
